I think this episode confirms that the famous comic con video of Chang warning Dharma with Dan behind the camera is not canon. I did not see anywhere in the time when Dan returned and told Chang about time travel a time for them to make a video.

It was never said for sure that Dan was shooting the video. I thought it was cause it sort of sounded like him. But I guess it obviously isn't him. But Dan did do whatever he needed to do to make sure that Chang did was he was supposed to do. Maybe it was Jack shooting the video for all we know. Or Miles. All I'm saying is that if the Lost writers want to release a video to the public at Comicon its not going to be bull.

1) Daniel may not die from the gun shot (see junior Ben Linus)
2) Daniel may die and be brought back to life by the island (see John Locke)
3) Daniel may die and return in Chrisitian Shepherd form (more unlikely but still possible)

I think the video was 100 percent daniel, I for one am pretty good at determinging who's voice is who.
Cartoons for instance have a lot of voiceovers and I can usuually tell pretty well when an actor is voicing a character who that actor is in real life, not just because of the credits but because their voice is so unique.
I think though it wasnt confirmed that it was daniel and therefore the viseo is not cannon, unless as stated above he is perhaps brought back to life.
