Sun is dead...

I was thinking the other day, what logical reason is there that Sun didn't travel back in time.

At first around my office we thought, well she must have something to do in the present.  But for some reason I keep thinking that's a weak reason. 

Then I started to wonder if she died in the plane crash. 

CHRISTIAN: I'm sorry, but you have a bit of a journey ahead of you.  That seems like a very strange response to her.

Just a thought, I'm also thinking that John is dead he just doesn't know it yet.

With all the Egyptian references, even tho TPTB said the island isn't purgatory, what if it's a journey through the underworld where she has to be tested? Smokey could be a form of Sobek who "eats" those who don't pass muster

I don't know about her being dead, but Frank's comment to her was really strange.

What is even more strange is that when Frank found out that he was taking the 316ers, he just made that funny line about 'we're not going to Guam, are we?'

He never seems scared...or seems to wonder why he is so deeply involved.

What is his true purpose?
