Kelvin showed desmond the red stain on the ceiling.
If I shoot you through the chin and out the top of your head, it will leave a stain on the ceining too, and I can tell anyone whatever I want years after the fact. Exactly. Why should we believe Kelvin?

Why should we believe Kelvin? I would personally like to think that there is one person on this show not lying to further his own agenda, but Kelvin has been pretty suspect in my mind lately.

Yeah, that would be nice, but after five seasons of this show it's hard to trust ANYONE

Isn't that the truth? That's why this last episode was so spectacular. FINELY someone who can just call what he sees and ask what he wants to know. He's a breath of fresh air - always has been.

What do we know about Kelvin? When did he come to the island?
Did Kelvin come to the Island around the same time as Mikhail? Mikhail survived the Purge and was Otherized, right? After the Purge, the Others must have discovered the Swan and its purpose and just left Kelvin and Radzinsky in there to keep pushing the button. Ben, for sure, knew what it was for and pressed it when John was trapped in the inner chamber. But there was medicine to prevent "the sickness" that had the numbers on it, right? That has to be pre-Purge. Ethan believed there was a sickness to be fought. He kidnapped pregnant Claire and injected her, right?

Was Mikhail actually Dharma? I thought he had just lied and was really an other all along.

Why should we believe Kelvin? I know I've used this theory on everyone lately, but what if Kelvin wasn't really DI? According to Lostpedia, He told Des that he had been in the hatch for 8 years, and that conversation took place in the year 2000 (did anyone else just hear LaBamba from Conan O'brien in their heads?). Which means he's been there since 92. According to Locke's dream in 2004, Horace had been dead for 12 years. Which means the Purge was also in 92. What if Kelvin was a recruited Other, who was in place at the Swan, in the same way that Mikhail was in place at the Flame, and the girls were in place in the Looking Glass. There are certain things that the DI did, that needed to be maintained, despite their being gone. It seems to me that if Radzinsky took shelter in the Swan (see my previous post in this thread) then Kelvin could have been charged with the task of killing Radzinsky, and taking over Swan duties. This does leave a few holes, like why Kelvin was there alone, with no other Others checking up on him (unless they watched him from the Pearl.) And why he let Desmond stay on the island. I mean, if it were me, I'd be happy to have someone else there to do half the work, but I'm not an Other. I would think they wouldn't have wanted a random dude to do their work.

I still like my "Kelvin" as anti-Ben spy theory better.

I liked the ewoks when I was little, but I was like 6. I even like their songs. And I especially like when they die. It is kind of lame though how they took out stormtroopers wearing armor with rocks and stuff.

Oh, you made my 41 year old bones creak with this post! I was 9 when episode 4 came out. It changed my life. My favorite Ewok move was tripping the AT-AT walker.
