When Ben told Sun to apologise to Desmond

What I would like to know is a bit side topic to yours but I was wondering why all of a sudden Ben even conceives a thought than Sun can get off the Island.
He was very strict previously on not letting anyone off. Granted, he's not in charge anymore, but still rules are rules.

Maybe it inferred that Ben has definite knowledge that Desmond will come back to the Island, rather than Sun would leave again one day.

It's probably my memory Smiley
I thought he said "If you ever leave this island" but it may be he said "If you ever meet Desmond Hume".

Yeah, he said if she ever leaves the island.  And it was an odd thing to say on many different levels.

I hope Sun will leave the island, she has a little girl there.
I think only Jack will not leave, because Ben told him to pack everything he
wanted, because he will never return.
Maybe that's the crate Ilana found.  Wink

I wonder why Mrs Hawking wouldn't choose one side over another. If she was on the Bad side of all this or the good side of all this. either way, wouldn't she want to either destroy or protect. but to be indifferent if she knows what's going on is just weird. it makes me not trust her.

I'm with BostonLost on this one, i believe she is more freelance than sided to either. Maybe she is doing what is best for the island. Ok her and Charles were possibly leaders together but thats not to say they got on, even if they were lovers or siblings. She doesnt like Ben, she freely admits he is a lying git to the O6 when they are down in "the streetlamp" station.

Maybe its just that Ben was a necessity to get the O6 back, she was using him rather than the other way around? We're yet to see an leader to isnt underhanded, and this ones female, lets face it women are much better at mind games than men. Remember bullying in the play ground, men always go strait to violence , but women are the ones playing mind games with their victim! I trust her no more than i trust either Charles or Ben!
