I mean, I know its a spammer just not whether its a bot... usually the bots just join and post one bizarre post filled with links that have nothing to do with Lost and a whole lot to do with porn, pharmaceuticals and/or spanish porn with pharmaceuticals... But lately there has been some fairly sophisticated stuff, where they join and actually try to post something about Lost, or at least generic responses that could be a real poster, so I think no one reports them. The key is the low post count with the link in the siggy to something being sold. One spammer got 4 posts in this week, and another got 14 in over a week and half with posts that were sorta relevant but slightly off topic with poor grammar that could be chalked up to being someone from another country. What tipped me off was that, I guess, they realized we weren't on to them and started posting really ridiculous stuff so I checked out the IP and it was obvious then. In the case of these last two spammers they were selling Lost and Heroes DVD's so I guess they were people who were hired to target sites like ours. And thus endeth my dissertation on Advanced Spamming Techniques. lol.   |

We get spammers and bots all the time on our company website requesting information. |
