The lady who took Aaron in the grocery store looked kind of like an old Claire, and I thought I caught an Australian accent too but I was too busy making jokes and not paying attention.  What does everyone else think?  I thought it was kind of weird and creepy.  If she really did have an Australian accent, then I'm sure it was done on purpose or maybe it was just Kate seeing things and feeling guilty about leaving Claire behind?

She did look a LOT like Claire.  When we saw her from behind at first, I thought for sure it was Claire.  It didn't occur to me that it might be an "old" Claire from the future.  I'm sure it was no accident that she looked a lot like Claire.

It was done on purpose to make us think it was Claire from behind.  But as soon as she turns around you can tell its not her.

In the chat someone said she was a Claire-stand-in but with hooker-makeup.  Sounded about right to me.

It still looked like her up close though.  Not like her, but like how she might look if she was all ugly and old and worn down.  Did she have an Australian accent?

Not for me until I hear her talk and can see if she has an accent or not.

I just watched that scene again - turned up the volume to be really sure - and the Claire look-a-like clearly had an American accent.  No trace of Aussie.  Sorry about that.

I agree, I said to my daughter that it is Claire! Then she turned around and it was not her. I was just a way to scare Kate. It was not Claire.

It's very stressful being an Other.

Agreed! Welcome to the boards, JoAnn! I also think it was designed to make us all think "Claire?!?!?" and then have that, "omg they got me" feeling when she turned around...

it was like her worst fear, is Claire taking "her son" away and it encouraged her to make teh right decision to leave Aaron with family...
