I only caught the tail end of their conversation where miles says "...I never thought of it like that.". What was Hurley's part of the conversation?  Thanks.

Basically, they were throwing around theories of what is happening with time and what can and cannot be changed. The same way we have been doing lately. I thought it was quite humorous.

I like to think of myself as  a Jack/Desmond blend with a bit of Hurley and a twist of Miles.

Miles said that whatever happened, happened and that no matter what they do, Ben will be fine. Hurley then asked, (total paraphrase) "well, if all this happened, the why doesn't Ben remember Sayid as the guy who shot him when he was being tortured by the same guy in our hatch?" and Miles said "I never thought of it that way"

And they explained that after Ben is saved by the Others, he won't remember 'any of this'.

Right... I was just aswering the original question. But maybe Richard didn't mean it will erase his memory completely, maybe just being shot...? IDK I get more confused with every episode. lol

HURLEY thinks he is dissapearing like in Back to the Future. MILES reassures him that Farraday said "what happened, happened." Everything has already happened and will happen again (big wink to BSG Wink) Miles is stating that because Ben is alive, he will live. The question is who will save Ben? Miles is also staing that anyone can die because basically, this has all happened before and will all happen again, but not necessarily to the same people. HURLEY brings up the question of 'why doesn't Ben remember that Sayid shot him?" The answer is because Kate & Sawyer give Ben over to Richard and the others.

And That was a weak way to explain it away.....Take Ben to the temple and fix him up but he won't remember it Huh?? WEAK....LAZY

I WOULD EXPEXT MORE FROM THE LOST WRITERS!!!

It was a pretty weak explanation. But, why doesn't anyone else remember all of this? Or do they?

The most important part of that conversation is Miles' assertion that The Losties can die in 1977 because it's their "present." Adam and Eve, anyone?

Also, the "changed" argument may sound like a lame copout now but don't forget we've already seen Rousseau's team be "changed" by whatever happens in The Temple. I'm willing to wait and see.

Juliet doesnt remember because that is the first time that she has experienced it yet.  it is her present not her past.

Yeah but not "the present".

"Thier Present"  aka Bens past, dharmas past, Richards past.

Milles said it perfectly.
