Seriously, though...

I'll bet it was during Sayid's sugar cube freak-out that he had a warrior's vision about what he needed to do to Ben.

The big issue I had with the Sayid acid thing was that he told everyone he wasn't a hostile and that he was from the future. Why, then, would Horace not at least investigate a bit further. I mean... they are conducting experiments in time and space and he is the freakin leader of the DI, you would think he would know what their ultimate goal was on the island. Radzinsky is a douchebag, but Horace seems like he would approach this logically. I dunno, maybe Amy being all like "I'm scared" made him just want to deal with Sayid; but you'd think he would have taken what Sayid said a little more seriously and thought about what the consequences would be if Sayid was actually from the future as he says he is.

I'm not so sure the D.I. is doing the time warp yet.  Maybe in a couple of years...or maybe after they find out that Sayid wasn't just talking from the spirit world.  Maybe after 'The Incident', they'll find out that further research is needed into that mysterious well up in the North section of The Island.

But Chang is there at this point isn't he? And he's digging out the orchid. Or at least thats what I thought. Perhaps you're right and what we saw at the beginning of "The Lie" was actually at a later point than where we are now in 77.

Amy seemed awful anxious to get Sayid killed.  And it didn't seem to me to be because she was scared for her baby.  It seemed more like an excuse.

Love how the acid worked...Sayid told the truth, but no one believed him.

I'm sure that soon someone will have their avatar as the goofy tripped-out Sayid.

I just thought that they would have thought he was tripping out on the truth juice and wasn't making any sense...

Grin Grin Grin This was by far the Best Episode in the past 2 weeks!

The only thing I wanted to add (if someone hasn't already) is that the Author of A Separate Reality, Carlos Castineda confessed on his deathbed to have "made it all up" - the entire Yaqui magic and Hightened Awareness, the egg-shaped aura, and all the other "teachings" of Don Juan... I was a big fan of his during my own, ahem, "spiritual journey" with more sugar cubes than Sayid could eat. Heck, I even had a VHS copy of the shaman exercises "Tensegrity"!

So, "A Separate Reality" may have been a red herring (hoax to a clue), or it may have been a clue to a hoax. Hmmmmm...

Either way, last night's show was 20 times better than I had expected. LOST = Teh B3ST SH0W 3VAR!

Not for nothin' - but LSD is NOT 'truth serum'.

I'm curious as to what it was in that sugar cube.

What makes you think Horace is the leader of DI?  I thought he was head of security.
Side note- Chang may not have divulged everything to Horace at the time.

The guy masquerading as Locke? I'm officially calling him Bocaj.  I don't care if anyone else is on board.  Just know that when I use the name Bocaj, I'm speaking of the Anti-Jacob.  Oh...I may call him that too.

It's official, in my book he is Bocaj and/or AJ.  You've been warned Wink

Sawyer is head of security. Sawyer calls Horace "our fearless leader" in LaFleur.

Horace's jumpsuit says "Mathematician." But he does seem to have the authority. He could be, like, the governor of New Otherton, while the DeGroots/Hanso run the initiative from afar... Huh

I agree with you there. I may have not conveyed what I meant clear enough. What I meant was that Horace seems to be in charge around Dharmaville. I didn't mean to suggest he was the be all end all leader of the DI. That is most likely the DeGroots and or Hanso.

if im right sodium pentothall is truth serum. in a large dose the drug causes the subject to mix fantasy with reality. thats probably why they didnt belive him
