No one recognizes him as EB Farnum from Deadwood?
I instantly remembered him as Larry from Newhart... forgot about his role in Deadwood.

From Lostpedia:

In Moscow when Sayid exits outside mirrored writing "Олдхэм Фармасьютикалс" can be seen above the door which is "Oldham Pharmaceuticals" transliterated into Russian

I thought that was kinda cool

That he does, C.S., that he does!  He didn't look forboding, but it was the way he spoke and how eerily calm he was that made his character so interesting!

And we really should have felt free to laugh when he said he gave Sayid too much.  Back down on the truth juice!

Has Sayid ever laughed that hard?  It was funny and strange all at once.  I loved seeing him just thinking that everything was so absurd.  It kind of gave me a bit of hope for him.

I want to go back and see the scene when Ana Lucia had him tied up.  Wasn't it at that same tree?

Lostpedia says we have only seen him laugh twice - "The first time was in "Pilot, Part 2", when he hears Rousseau´s Distress signal. "  Awww that's really sad, poor Sayid.

I was laughing through that whole scene too, especially with the half a syring comment from Oldham!  I read about the Russian translation too Bostonlost, that is pretty cool!

I thought it might be the same tree Sawyer was tied to (when Sayid "tortured" him) , but that would be on the other side of the island wouldn't it?  I think we were supposed to see the irony of the tables being turned though.

Precisely!  The tables are turned.  You know someone else said that Sayid broke too easily.  Sayid wanted to break.  No one wants to be isolated in their sin.  Poor guy. He needs some forgiveness.  Cue Locke...

If Oldham turned out to be Jacob, I would be severely disappointed.

Don't say that just yet JB. There might be much to see from Oldham. I agree if they were to reveal he is Jacob right now I would be pissed too. But we've only just been introduced.

Jacob's voice didn't sound all Southern and creepy when he said "Help me." Oldham has a really specific voice, and I'm not sure it matches with what little we've heard of Jacob. Though I could be (and usually am) wrong.  ;D
