Yes he can help it! He's trouble. His buddy wanted to slack off on the job and Phil was angry, then he didn't want to risk his job about the whole Horace thing. He was afraid he'd be fired if they didn't tell LaFleur, and that fear was greater than his fear of LaFleur's reproach.

I think he's like Boone in the sense that he wants to be the guy who's helpful, someone people can look up to, but there are better leaders around and he's a little resentful of that. Since he can't be that guy, he's going to be the best darn Security Officer he can be....and that means being suspicious. He'll sniff out secrets in order to get a gold star and a pat on the head. And if he brings down someone as trusted and powerful as LaFleur? Well, he'll be an even bigger hero then, won't he?

Suspicious Phil is just that, and it's going to get our Losties in trouble.

How about Radzinsky too? Wild horses couldn't drag either of them off on a much needed holiday.

I do think Radzinsky's suspicious - but for other reasons:

Of course - you have an excellent theory about Radzinsky in that thread. My point is that they are both way too serious and need to lighten up - and because of their suspicious demeaners, they could pose a threat to the losties.

Phil is my bet for the "He", as in "He's Our You", with Sayid as "You".

Speaking of Phil....what do you guys think Sawyer will do with him?  I can only see him explaining everything to him to hopefully get him on their side...or killing him---unless he has some amazing explanation for why he took Ben....and why he knocked Phil out cold...
