started off great with the crash, and the emotional reunion of jack, kate and hurley with sawyer.  and it was kind of cool how sawyer handled the situation.  but it kind of stalled about half-way through.

the sayid, jin, radzinski stuff was o.k., but nothing stellar.

and i don't know what's happened to sun, but she's become the most boring, uninteresting character on the show.  jin's become pretty great (if a bit underutilized), but sun has fallen completely flat.

i think everyone's right-- this is a bit of a set-up for the rest of the season.  but haven't we had a few of those now?

anyway, the crash was awesome, and frank's the man.

so what did you give it?

I gave this a 9

The obvious here was, why did three of the O6 flash back, while Ben am I good or bad and Sun, I am gonna kill Ben, remain on the plane.  Then get Christian as their guide for a long journey!  Could not help but notice that there was some mist/smoke/fog hanging round when the door opened.

And exactly how far in the future where they, that Ben would know precisely where the boats would be!  Give it up to Sun for donking the dude on the back of his as he rambles on.  Didn't see that coming did you Ben.  Grin

But before I forget seeing that runway made me wonder if in fact Jin had anything to do with the runway being built. I mean if he knows his wife is arriving back he wants to make sure it is safe.

Also no one mentioned Lapidus lying about his watching Ben, when it was Sun he had his eyes on.

As for the birth of Ethan, wow not surprised there, but it was great to find out that in 1977 they could have children on the island.  And based on time crash of plane and arrival of Juliette, it stands that about 20 years of not having babies.  which was around how long Widmore was looking for the island!

The other interesting bit here was Radzinsky building the model of the swan, where he allegedly takes his life, according to Inman/Kelvin several decades later!  Why did he survive the purge?

I also notice an annoying voice change in Juliette and fear that she was loosing James!  He also did a great job, but I am fearful of his arrogance with Jack.  Hey Jack you messes up dude and now I will tell you what to do!  Jack's reaction was reserved but you know he wanted to pop James a good one.

The other is the missing Faraday and I can't help but wonder if Faraday was sent on the submarine back to Essex, Ma to wait his time to join our team again.  Or he just checked out and is in a padded hut on the island, missing his dear Charlotte?

Oh and how could I forget Ben meeting Sayid.  I think Sayid will need to understand read time travel for dummies 101, what is in his eyes cannot happen,  you just can't do the obvious Grin  After all James knows he is not there to be Nostradamus.

I was left neither elated or disappointed,it balanced the scales of answers and closer to other questions being answered.

PS I knew that I would forget something and that is oh please someone find another oar for Cesar or better yet a spider.  His entire scene could have been given to a good knock down and drag 'em out mud fight with Kate and  Juliette, smoke monster has some pics of them handcuffed and muddy already!  Editing room make this a Juggy special Cheesy

Lak chiming in here - I keep watching the eps later and later!  Namaste gets a 9 from me.  The main reason is that the story is contracting - it's focusing in.  I'm pretty sure that for better or worse this story really truly is about Dharma and the Others.  The fact that they've put Jack and Sawyer and their people with Dharma, Sayid in with the Others unwittingly, and Sun and Frank as free agents is just brilliant.  Locke's appearance is going to be polarizing.

Well, the season's opening scene has Faraday in Orchid when it's being built.  So, what's the timeline of that?  I'm pretty confident he hasn't left the island.  I'm banking on the "padded hut"  When he sees and talks to Jack, he'll get it together and start figuring things out again...

BTW, I gave it a 9.  I like that we are going to see Ben as boy growing up knowing the Losties...  I think that will answer a lot of questions...

Yeah Ben and the O6 that is going to be interesting to say the least.  Can't believe we will be giving our thoughts on yet another installment to the LOST saga!

I gave it an 8.  It's really more of an 8.5, but last time I rounded up, so I figured to be fair I should round down this time.   Roll Eyes

The runway was a big deal for me.  I was so excited to find out that Juliet really was telling the truth about that back ages ago!  So this means something special about Ben, I think -- he must've been the one to give the orders about building the runway, which means that as far back as 2004 he had some kind of foreknowledge of the upcoming need for the runway in 2007/2008.  That blows my mind just a little bit.

I also am loving the Sawyer / Jack interaction.  It's like JBRam said...
...we saw this same part of Sawyer last week. The only thing even remotely different is how Sawyer is now in control of Jack, which changes dynamics and makes us Jack-haters happy. Wink

The baby Ethan thing didn't do much for me.  I guess it's because it wasn't who I thought it would be.  Eh.

Oh, and I want Frank Lapidus always flying any plane I'm ever in, too.

I can't think of any. I've trusted Juliet almost since we first saw her.

Me too. once I saw that Ben was holding her hostage on the island against her will.

I think I first trusted her when we saw Jack try to force her to open the floodgate and she was telling the truth about the water behind it.

that is far from trustworthy.  She picks and chooses her ability to engage trust when she wants to.
If she was truly trustworthy she would have had a good spill about Ben.

Juliette is not forthright, and that may be the more appropriate word than trustworthy
