How did Sawyer know...
« on: March 05, 2009, 12:19:29 AM »
When Sawyer talks to Richard and tell him about the Bomb and stuff from 1954, how does he know what Locke told Richard back in 1954? Wasn't he busy chasing Faraday and seeing Jughead when that conversation is going one?

In Juliet's defense, I don't know how it would ever come up in a conversation that she knows Latin except for that very situation.

I don't know, because when Sawyer asks about who told Locke who said that the O6 were alive, Locke says "It doesn't matter".

I found a hatch in the ground, but dont say anything.
2 dead bodies in a cave but dont say anything.
Old boat with lots of dynamite, but dont say anything.
A cache of guns over there but didnt think we needed them, until now.

Lots of things!!

I don't really remember but does he actually tell Richard what he says or does he just say that some old bald guy came up to you in 1954 and then poof.

Right, he doesn't say anything about Locke' conversation with Alpert. He just says that he was there. And, then he asks if they buried the bomb (he was present with Faraday and Eloise when the bomb was being discussed)... knowing Eloise would have passed on Faraday's suggestion to bury the bomb (mostly, just letting Alpert know that he was aware of 'Jughead').

I was surprised Miles didn't know about Juliet being an Other and everything since he somehow knew about Michael and he knew about Charlotte.

He knew she was an Other.  He just didn't know that she was not Dharma and he didn't know that the Others also lived in those barracks.

I also liked how Sawyer came up with his story in great detail right on the spot--I know he "lied for a living" and is a great conman...but, really?  LaFleur?  The whole thing about the Black Rock?
I'm sorry, but when did Sawyer get to be so knowledgeable?

I think he says - "Some old bald guy came up to you in 1954 and told you he was your leader" -- I just don't see the conversation of Locke telling sawyer as they walk "I told Richard I was his leader"

The other question I have is, what interaction had Richard and Sawyer had prior to last night? Is this a case were Richard should have recognized Sawyer when he saw him in 2004.

i have to think locke told sawyer something about the conversation he had with richard in case that group came across richard and the others will flashing thru time.  locke had no clue they would get stuck in a certain time period and he would have given sawyer the information he would need in case sawyer had to "prove" himself and the bizarre we are traveling thru time story
