I squeed when I read the title. My prophecy may yet come true... http://lost.cubit.net/forum/index.php?topic=7776.0Okay, so I was off on the timeline and my reasoning for thinking the Island could "go arctic" (Ben's pasty complexion ), but I was right about The Island being able to move!

Oh, we've managed to miss another reference for the title. "Some Like It Hot" was a Billy Wilder film in which Jack Lemmon and Tony Curtis have to dress up in women's clothes to hide from some mobsters whom they witnessed kill some people.
So maybe Jin and Sawyer need to dress up to hide from the DeGroots!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hoth_(disambiguation)HotH is also an acronym for Harrow-on-the-Hill station a stop on the London Underground and although the 2 star wars references seem the most likely, I'm going to gamble and go with the longshot Harrow-on-the-Hill station

I'm new here and I just happened apon this site w/ regard to LOST !
If this has already been covered, please excuse the duplication of information.
If you have been following the "BOOKS" of LOST, and I mean indepth enough to recognize that the book ECKO was referring to and the book that Richard presented to young John Locke was the "BOOK of LAWS" as opposed to the "BOOK of LAW" then you may be able to relate to my next Opinion / Theory.
By following ALL the books referenced in LOST correctly it is quite possible that the "HOTH" referenced in the up coming episode "Some Like it HOTH" is actually referring to the Egypthian figure / god = THOTH. Google THOTH and you will find many subly different references.
I think it is possible, that within the show someone will come across something that has been fragmented i.e. an ancient tablet, a manual something which results in the discovery of "...HOTH" which eventually will be revealed as THOTH.
Here is just (1) of the many google results for (T)Hoth:
Thoth invented hieroglyphs, the picture writing of Ancient Egypt. He was the measurer of the earth and the counter of the stars, the keeper and recorder of all knowledge. The ibis is a bird rather like a stork, with long legs and a long beak which it uses for prodding in the mud to find small fish. It was a symbol of wisdom and learning because it has a beak shaped like a pen which it dips in the mud, as if it was ink.
The Book of Thoth had two spells in it. If you read the first spell aloud, you would be able to understand every beast and bird, and summon the fishes in the sea. If you read the second spell, you could bring the dead to life.
Again, if this has already been covered...my apologies.
Thanks for the "TIME 'n' SPACE" to voice my LOST thought. Litenuff2fly

This is great. This is the kind of thinking we need to be appling when talking LOST. Trust me, LOST will be moving in this kind of direction. If anyone is familiar with Homer's Odyssey, they should be thinking about how charactors like Widmore and Ben may be gods... I know this kind of thinking may seem a bit out there, but mark my words, LOST is heading in this direction.
