I know that LOST is generally a mysterious show, but sometimes, a cigar is just a cigar. Sayid has been running around killing people for the past 2 1/2-3 years. We see him in handcuffs with a person who has a badge of some kind, I think we don't really need to scratch our heads about this too much.
We may not know WHERE he's going, but it's a safe bet that the reason he is going there is because he's been arrested for all the MURDERS he's been committing. Like I said earlier, the plane has a layover or something in Hawaii, so maybe he's being taken back there.

I agree completely Bob, it's not at all strange that Sayid is in custody. That tends to happen to hit men eventually. I'm just trying to figure out if Sayid was expecting to be on a plane with the other Losties or not.
The fact that he's in custody would indicate no. But he didn't seem that surprised to see them. Hence, my confusion.

Although, Sayid is a master of keeping his cool, concealing information and so forth...I sensed that he was surprised, but quickly accepted the whole scene. Funny that no one really spoke with him, just some slight nods of the head.

BobB did you see the previews for next week?! It gives a different light to this entire conversation. What I will say is that, if after 2 1/2 to 3 years they didnt' find it him it was pretty darn quick to leave the marina, get arrested by US governement and get on a plane with a, for the sake of conversation a US Federal agent, and be on a plane in what 36 hours. I am open to many things, but this is to coincidental. This alone should give anyone a hint that his alleged extradition/deportation is rather lame. Kate had a court trial after being gone for what less than a year. The wheels of justice turn slowly, even if they are greased with the funds of governments, industrialists and other things. Also he was wearing a jump suit, even Kate had nice clothes when she was handcuffed to her agent, when James was deported he was not handcuffed and he killed someone. I do agree that Sayid looked a bit like, what the heck, but that could be for many reasons. Additionally I have mentioned this some other place, but will repeat again. Kate told Jack we are all on here together, but does not mean we are together. Therefore, I will throw in that Ben may not be behind Hugo, Sayid or Kate being there, it could be Widmore. Which could be the reason that new person told Jack he was sorry about his friend. IMHO

Just saying this because I'm the crazy annoying fact-checker, but Sawyer was not deported for murdering the shrimp guy, he was deported for head-butting the Minister of Agriculture during a bar fight. Which I still say has to appear in a flashback at somepoint. And I don't think Sayid was in a jump suit; it just looked like a blue button down shirt and a black tank top that should look quite nice on him when he's running around on the island soon. http://gallery.lost-media.com/displayimage-1468-455.html(I used to copy these pictures, put them in my photobucket, and post them but I'm getting lazy in my old age I guess.)

Cayley- thanks for the facts. I always thought he was deported for killing! I was to lazy to watch that scene again. And the jump suit clarification. I stand corrected by the best fact checking finder on the site

I apologize if someone mentioned this and I just missed it, but Guam is U.S. Territory. No one can be deported to Guam from the U.S. and no one would be extradited to Guam unless they were charged with committing a crime in Guam. I don't know whether or not Guam was likely to be stopover for a flight elsewhere, but that doesn't sound right. Of course, Sayid may well have killed someone in Guam.

I am open to many things, but this is to coincidental. Unless he's been followed for a while, and the meeting at the pier was a little too shady for the people following him, so they decided to grab him when they had the opportunity. Plus, There were several hours in between the initial meeting at the pier, and when they all go to the airport. That's more than enough time to grab him, make a few phone calls, and then arrange a flight. Also, this is a fictional TV show, and that makes the judicial process work much faster. LOL I agree completely Bob, it's not at all strange that Sayid is in custody. That tends to happen to hit men eventually. I still think Sayid had a fight with Ben, trying to defend Penny or Aaron. He got arrested and they handed him over to someone working for Ben.

I got all sorts of age ranges, men and women. It's nice because sometimes the older people here come up with ideas that for some reason, us young'ins never would think of.

Well, some redemption here as the enhanced episode stated was being handcuffed like Kate by officials. Also it appears that Alana(sp) and Cesar have other things on their mind. And she wasn't so concerned about her man in custody when in their brief airing last night. I am sticking with the fact that no matter what they were doing with Sayid, this was orchestrated to get him on that flight with the other O5. I mean that is the point of his being there.

I think this is partially right. I do think Sayid had a fight with Ben. But not defending anybody. I think Ben went as a last ditch effort to try and convince Sayid to come. But Sayid was having none of it and did promise that he would take care of Ben the next time he saw him. All Ben had to do knowing this is call officials before he even walked in. And plant false paperwork on Sayid and get him deported.

Ah very interesting the enhanced epi shared that Alina flashed a badge to get Sayid through security! And that he was handcuffed!
I am taking this as it was the way to get him on the plane, this may be premature, but that is okay
