I doubt that Ben took over flying the plane. He probably had some sort of trick up his sleeve that he needed to be alone for.

I didn't see what it said on the book but Odysseus and Ulysses are the same thing right?  So you are both right.  Isn't Ulysses Latin for Odysseus?
yes, same story.  different writers.  odysseus=ulysses.  odysseus is originally from homers illiad.  ulysses (the novel ben was reading) is by james joyce, it is a modern take on odysseus.

Oh okay.  I didn't realize they had different authors.

As the novel progresses, it uses less and less punctuation.
