It sounds like him, but it's too hard to tell from that audio.  If I had to pick a character, I'd definitely say it's Hugo.  Otherwise it could just be some random voice from someone we haven't met yet.

Not Hurley, I think we are just hearing what we want to hear.

I voted not sure. At the beginning it doesn't sound like him, but towards the end(last couple of numbers)it kinda sounds like him.  ??? I am stumped as to if it's really him.

I voted yes. Is it a coincidence that the person most connected to the numbers from the losties is the person it sounds like?   :-\

I'm mostly a lurker, but I voted no. This is basically the opposite of Bambi, but I think it sounds like him a lot at the beginning, and at the end sounds very different.

I asked a coworker in a "blind" request (just played it for her, asked her who it was on the tape) and she immediatley thought it was Hurley, without any provocation.  :-\

I don't think it's Hurley either, but when I think about it, the writers could have slightly disguised his voice to make it less obvious.  I wouldn't be too surprised if it was him...

I thought it sounded like him at 23 and 42, but since he is associated with the numbers we might just be looking too hard...time will tell.

I don't think its him - at least I'm not convinced that it is him -  the voice is too generic it could be anyone.  But, IMHO, if it really is him, the implications are staggering... Hugo travels back in time and records the numbers on the radio tower - and probably engraves them onto the hatch too - so that its not just some gigantic coincidence that the numbers Hurley used to win the lottery figure so prominently on the Island - they're there because he put them there.

I vote NO.

but when he gets back to the island he could have
recorded it and that is why it is there in '88.

This would be like the episode where Ben patches Sayid up.  To me, Ben's voice seemed off which allowed for the reveal... the OMG moment where we see that Sayid is working with Ben now.

I thought the last couple numbers sounded like Hurley... LIKE Hurley.  I have to ask though, if it's Hurley, why?  Why would he transmit numbers that have been like a plague to him?  He's cursed the numbers and ran from them... they've basically been his un-doing.  Why would he transmit them to be heard?
