Research Team Chosen "for a reason" - their connection

Oh sorry but I will be fresh and say I love searching and finding the threads where discussions of topics that have been confirmed. 

It is actually refreshing to look back at why we thought these things instead of opening up yet more threads of discussion.  My humble opinion -rhetorical at best and  perhaps a peeve that we don't take time to look back

So Mac three Mango Bingo had a  good thought regarding parentange of Desmond and having Ellie as his Mom and unknown father.  Which got me thinking of Desmond and his chance encounter of Penny and voila you had it here.  Just a great thought, we could be on to something.  It also has me thinking that the Monk and Ellie could be Desmond's parents 

But the main purpose of my post is that I was discussing this last night with a friend and there is a deep connection with all three of the research team.

Charlotte was on the island - left with her Mom
Miles was on the island - left with his Mom
Daniel was on the island we believe- left with his Mom
All raised by their Mom's

I cannot say for fact that they were all born on the island, but let us for the sake of discussion say they were.
Miles has an ability to hear what the dead have to say
Daniel- well he has the book of the past
Charlotte - poor Charlotte not sure what she brought there other than a desire to find what she was told was a bad memory.  Her Narnia so to speak.

But Widmore knew about these three and pursued them, so if for the sake, again of discussion, he knew of these people their where abouts off the island and sent them back did he also know what their fate was like Ellie?

The only person we do not know who the father is Charlotte
Now let me throw into the mix the other who doesn't know their father and that is John Locke.

BTW for all those calling Miles and Marvin father and son congratulations
And for those with connecting Widmore and Daniel also take a bow.

Connecting the dots is fun and even nicer when you are confirmed!

Anyway regarding our scientific team we can figure out who what when where, but still missing a why? What does Widmore know that he hasn't put on the table.
I know he wanted Danile healed, but for what means to his end?

The two answers I came up with at first were that one, he's his son, and he probably wants his son to be okay, and two, he wants him to finish his research.

@BobX - so you believe that Widmore is truly for a greater good of his sons life?  Or some guilt there?  he funded his experiments and did take care of theresa

But Bob what is wrong with this thought is he sends his sone with the ruthless Keamy who is going to blow the island up if he doesn't get Ben.  Refresh me here, because wasn't that the second protocol? 

To me Keamy was not going to care who lived or died and his orders were cleanse the island. 

Which brings me to yet another thought and I would have to - post in another place ,regarding the freighter and Ben.

Well, Like I said, he's his father, so not so much guilt, but more like he wants his son to be okay. But on top of that, he does want him to finish his research.

As far as the Keamy issue goes, yeah, "torching the island" was a secondary protocol to get Ben.

Yes, Holland you liked that huh?  I mean think about it telling a tale and the end of the day and then to make it even more intersting how does it end Uncle well.  then you see a plane taking off and the children older.
