During the wa'a kaukahi chase on the ocean, Juliet (handles a rifle pretty good btw), gets off a few shots and looks like she landed a chest shot.

My question is, other than who was chasing them......Who did she shoot? Is this going to end up bad?

I do think that whoever it was that got shot was someone we know, and like.

I'm really surprised that the Losties aren't more concerned about who they kill during a time jump.  Are they all just going with Daniel's explanations of 'you can't change time"....or what?

You would think there would be serious repercussions to killing people who weren't meant to die.

I have to agree with that!  but when is it again? Are they in the future?  Because their camp was there but obviously abandoned for some time...and the boats were not recognized by our Losties.  So if she shoots someone in the future, how will that effect the present...or... the past...or....OMG this is so confusing.

On the other thread "who is shooting at us?" it has been suggested they are shooting at themselves. I am calling it right now she shot Miles.  Wink

Totally agree. I have a feeling the counter to Daniel's "you can't change time" is Locke (maybe Jack?) telling him "don't tell me what I can't do". It wouldn't surprise me if there were two sides to ol' Jacob's time coin.

Of course TPTB might be telling the story cleverly enough that we will never have evidence which way it works -- "You can't change time" (fate/destiny) or "don't tell me what i can't do" (free will).

So if they are shooting at themselves, then when the next version of themselves come along this timeline, will they have previous version of themselves ahead of them and following versions of themselves behind them?  Will this continue until the sea is full of a string of Lostie canoes following each other and shooting themselves?  Where will it all end?Huh?

No, after Miles is shot and they see themselves disappear they head for the shore line and continue with the story until they flash again.

Why again do some people think Miles got shot?  More importantly..why are people assuming it was "friendly" fire.  I think it's probably Widmore & Co.  Someone clearly took the rest of the group...I'm thinking it is either Widmore or some other unknown enemy.

The guy masquerading as Locke? I'm officially calling him Bocaj.  I don't care if anyone else is on board.  Just know that when I use the name Bocaj, I'm speaking of the Anti-Jacob.  Oh...I may call him that too.

It's official, in my book he is Bocaj and/or AJ.  You've been warned Wink

If its their future selves, then surely they would already know that the boat in front of them is their past selves, making it unlikely that they would start the shooting, or even return fire for that matter.  Afterall, if I kill my past self it unlikely I'm going to enjoy the results.....

I agree with this logic - I think it's a group that we've yet to meet.

I guess they are going with two thoughts; if it didn't happen it won't (or can't) and about getting shot,  better them than me.

Whoever Juliet shot at was a VERY aggresive group. They chased after the time skippers and started shooting at them unprovoked. For some reason I find it hard to imagine any of the groups of Losties doing that, especially if it means rowing like a mf to catch up to someone first.

I hope it wasn't themselves...but what if Juliet shot herself.  After they get back to the land her nose starts bleeding.  What if this is because she killed her future self and that starts the beginning of her own demise.
