Also........interesting that the young Charles Widmore has a pronounced English accent which becomes a defined Ausralian accent as he gets older!!

Hmmm, well the actual actor of the older Widmore is from New Zealand.  Maybe that has something to do with it.  But when he played Mr. Mead on Ugly Betty, I didn't know he wasn't American!

He was also the last "alien replacement" bad guy at Mulder's trial on the series finale of "The X Files".  (I keep wanting to check the back of his neck for a ridge.)

I just saw Alan Dale on Flight of the Conchords in a scene where he works for the Australian consolate, and he and the other Aussies make fun of New Zealanders. Weird.
