OMG!! No sloppy recycling - that has to be intentional.

Both characters are gate-keepers - literally for the gate agent and metaphorically for the librarian - and they control the next step in the plan - Hurley gets on the plane, Des gets pushed out to find the lab.

I have to agree with this!  They are too precise to make a mistake like this.  Come on, there are millions of us that would have fought to be the "actor" to play that part if it were just a non-important part!!

Has to mean something.

Locke and Michael have both operated under two names.  It would be extremely sloppy if they did just recycle an actress.

Wow, excellent catch, WhatThe!  I would never have noticed that.

I did think that her asking "Why are you looking for this person?" seemed suspicious.  If she was just a clerk looking up info, she would not care why.  The answer to that question is not going to help her find the info she's (supposedly) looking for.  Originally I thought she asked that because she, personally, had knowledge of the "Daniel Incident" (whatever it was he did to the girl that got him kicked out) and she was just sort of gossipy-curious.  But now that you point out that it's the same person that worked for Oceanic... hmmmm.  I don't quite know what to make of it, but it's definitely suspicious.  Widmore seems to have veeeerrry long arms.

That's the most amazing catch I've read on here for ages.

I'm still of the opinion that Cindy was an off-Island Other - AND Jack's wife, Sarah.

I'm probably way off base but everyone in the LIbrary looked/dressed like the past.  They didn't looke to up to date to me, am I crazy?

I don't know, but them shades Des had on showed he either has HORRIBLE taste in accessories or he just borrowed Penny's shades on the way off the boat....
There is no excellent beauty that hath not some strangeness in the proportion.

haha, i thought the same thing but about des. He looked like he was dressed from the 70's. Maybe it was the shades. My Mom had a similar pair in the 70's. lol

I agree.  Had to be totally intentional.  Very good catch!

wow, good spot, I would never have got that.

When he found Daniels office I figured she had just said that because she knew the history of Daniel being kicked out but my first thought when she asked him was that someone else had been in asking for him that day, that's where I thought it was going

It's possible that Oceanic is connected to Widmore, who would most likely try to cover up any and all traces of his funding of a 'time machine'. Remember when he told Sun that he couldn't believe she had the nerve to approach him in public? This is clearly a guy who wants his privacy so why not have employees covering all the basics?

Well, the airport police in London were in his pocket, so a whole airline wouldn't surprise me.
