Did The Librarian Work For Oceanic?
« on: January 29, 2009, 02:17:02 AM »
The woman who Desmond was asking about Faraday at the university, the one who told Dez that there was no Faraday in their records...wasn't that the same lady who worled for Oceanic and who let Hurley onto the plane at the last minute?

If so, I'm guessing they're just recycling actors? lol

Ok, apparently it was:

From "Jughead":

Mary Ann Taheny   ...    Moira

From "The Exodus, pt 2" from season 1:

Mary Ann Taheny   ...    Jenna - Gate Attendant

Again...does it mean anything, or is the show just recycling actors?

Offline this is some crazy stuff

well I would assume that if it is a totally different name then it is just recycling characters I would think.

We here thought it odd for her to ask "May I ask why you are looking for this information/Person?" (or some such to that effect). If she has no info than all she said previously to that would suffice, but her tone and manner when asking that sent up the suspicion antennae here.....
There is no excellent beauty that hath not some strangeness in the proportion.

OMG!! No sloppy recycling - that has to be intentional.

Both characters are gate-keepers - literally for the gate agent and metaphorically for the librarian - and they control the next step in the plan - Hurley gets on the plane, Des gets pushed out to find the lab.

Yeah, it did the same for me when she asked that. Some small part of me became a little suspicious...

Knowing the intensity in which fans of the show go over every episode with a fine tooth comb, I thought about that as well. I don't remember them ever recycling actors before...why start now? But a lot of shows do recycle actors (or used to).

This is the coolest easter egg catch I have ever seen. But to be honest I am hoping it is just recycling actors.

I mean the thought that of some higher power putting this person to make sure they get on the plane. Then 4 years later the higher power puts this person at Oxford to make sure no one finds Faraday- just would seem like to much for me to take at this point.
