Charlotte is dying? What exactly is happening to her?
« on: January 28, 2009, 11:10:50 PM »
Why is she getting sick? Is it because she doesn't have a "constant?"

But what about Miles? Why isn't he getting sick?

Miles is probably anchored by the spirits around him...kinda odd how Charlotte is the only one affected - she must have been near radiation recently....

Is it a fact that Charlotte was born on the island, or just speculation?

She is getting sick because Dan is in love with her, this makes the audience care more.

It's "Minkowski syndrome" that's what I call it. She needs to find a constant. I don't quite understand why everyone else isn't so affected.

I think the Charlotte thing is speculation, but it would make some sense.

If she was born on the Island, then she shouldn't be jumping at all (according to the theory that the natives don't jump).

I actually don't buy that theory - I think that it's tied to some different Other behaviour (being chosen, the injections, etc.).  But Charlotte's nativity and her illness aren't unrelated.

Is she dying because she is the young girl who put the gun to Daniel Faraday at the bomb site?

Is that the YOUNG Charlotte?

Is she coming down with "Rousseau" sickness

Or that sickness that was on the freighter that made people go crazy

I hope he gets to consummate it.

Is that the YOUNG Charlotte?

I think that girl is the bed ridden girl that Faraday split on.

No she is Eloise Hawkins, the creepy time cave, diamond selling, mother of Dan Faraday.

That doesn't make sense. She's too old, or young?

The gun-toting other is Dan's mum, right?

I'm not sure about the girl in the bed that Dan split on...
