So why do you think Sayid is no longer working for Ben? I think maybe Ben ordered him to kill Penny, and Sayid realised that he was just a pawn in Ben's revenge plan.

good Idea. It does make sense, since Ben told Charles that he would kill his daughter.

It surely isn't over remorse or guilty feelings. Look at all he did in Iraq. So rule that out at least.

I now believe that Ben sent those men who were waiting in the safe house to kill Sayid, because he was becoming a problem for Ben.
Thats why Ben looked so shocked when Jack called him and said "guess who just showed up on my doorstep"

but why would ben do that if he need sayid to get back to the island? unless he doesn't really care about getting them back in which case he wouldn't have approached jack in the first place...

those guys drugged sayid, they didn't try to kill him. I thought it was Ben's men too because if he drugged sayid then he could take sayid against his will. an d that would be one of the only ways to make sayid do something he didn't want to do.

Maybe Ben was actually the person who killed Nadia so that Sayid would have no reason to stay off the island? Lol I have no idea.

With Ben that is hightly possible, and it would have also giving sayid motivation to help ben get back at these guys and be on the same side. althought I am sure that sayid wouldn't know this or he would kill ben.

i've always felt like this was true. i think ben killed nadia knowing that then he could get sayid, in all his anger/grief, to come over to the dark side and help him as his personal assasin.

Nadia reunited with Sayid, married him, and got herself killed all in the time it took Ben to turn the wheel and show up in the Tunisian hotel to see Sayid on the television. Ben lost those 10 months, but he definitely could have had someone do the dirty work for him.
