Sawyer's Shirt
« on: January 22, 2009, 12:03:51 PM »
Besides the fact that Sawyer wanted to cover up, could there be another reason Sawyer kept trying to find a shirt to put on?

what got me was the fact that he was so intent on finding a shirt, yet was okay with running around barefoot.

Maybe similar to when they emphasized Ben's cut arm when he woke up in the desert??...Sawyer's cut foot will help put his "time travel" in proper context, perhaps...

Or to remind us he is not wearing any shoes and will take shoes from a dead guy or one of the military hand whackers. Maybe the Waxman/Candle guy had the misfortune of running into those guys.

ok...you sound quite sure.  Did you write that part of the script or what??!!

why make such a big deal about it then...everything on the show has a purpose.  this just seemed like he was so INTENT on getting a shirt.

I think that might be it exactly. Just a little nudge to us calling them redshirts. I think Neil's shirts was red. I don't think it was THAT big a deal that Sawyer was asking for a shirt. Just my opinion.

Carlton Cuse: "For the mythology fans, they will hopefully engaged by the fact that we are overtly discussing the time thing. And for the character fans, Sawyer’s got his shirt off for the whole first hour."
There is no excellent beauty that hath not some strangeness in the proportion.

i don't think the shirt thing is a big deal at all.  a nudge at red shirt, probably, but more than likely it's just to give us some eye candy.
