Oh no you don't! Now we have to figure out how it correlates with the time line on the island while it's skipping! did you think you could get off that easy! lol  ;)

I think it's just to illustrate a comming conflict about taking a dead guys shoes. He might now have a little remorse about it, unlike Sawyer from season 1.

So that was after they returned.

but it was not a dart he stepped on this time.
no, it was a twig this time.

didn't he step on the twig on their way TO the hatch?  that was when there was nothing on the beach?  if so, then it wouldn't really correlate.  well, the twig happened before the dart, because the twig happened when they weren't on the island yet...technically.

okay, so after looking through the trascript for 5.1 i don't find where he stepped on the twig.  and i can't find a trascript for 5.2.  but that means it happened AFTER dan talked to des at the intact hatch.  then there was a flash.  then we have ep 5.2 and the crew is in the jungle.  so i don't really know what the time frame is as to when sawyer stepped on the twig.  i'm still assuming it was before they were on the island.

well, I just checked the recap article on the front page of the site *cough* ;D::)*cough* and it says he steps on the twig in The Lie and it's after the Frogurt attack, before they see the soldiers in the jungle. So yeah, it's in the past.

lol.  guess you know i haven't read the recap yet huh?  i tend to go straight to either the episode (which i can't, i'm at work) or the trascript.

so, we don't know when that time is do we?

it's definitely in the past, pre-crash. Not sure what year exactly.

well, since I think the uniforms are danielle's team, i'm guessing 16 years.

I still think it's the 50s or 60s.

Yah, this should probably be for the other thread on this subject. But I don't think this has been settled at all. I don't think they are Danielle's team. Their weapons are WW2/Korea era. Maybe M1 Garands or Lee-Enfields. So I agree, maybe the 50s or 60s.
