Somebody asked about the time issue and daylight could it be because of the timezones/dateline?

The problem still exists, even if the plane made it across the date line. If they left at 2pm, traveling the opposite direction the sun is moving, then 8 hours later, they are still going to be somewhere around 10pm or so when they crash. The plane was flying east, and as you go east, you get later into the day.
