Criteria For Assigning Various Positions and Stars To Members?

I've been curious as to what the criteria for the various "Position" designations and associated stars are. If it is already on the board I have missed it.

I think it would be a good thing to lay out the positions and the number of postings or other criteria that allow movement up the chain. It would provide an incentive to people to post more often and increase the board's usage.
