Claire's mother mentions to Jack during their conversation that if Jack doesn't beleive her that he can check the phone records.
Wouldn't it be a hoot if the phone calls all came from the island before say Christian departed the island.
This would only be if we knew that Christian was on the island previously. I think he has been on the island similar to Locke and met the same ending/rebirth.

I'd bet that Christian changed his phone plan from the company-provided Dharma cable when he moved to America.  |

It was Thomas. And I bet that if she knew Claire was on Oceanic 815, she knew Claire was pregnant. I think I know where you are going with this, but what exactly do you mean?? I think that when Claire was talking with her mom while she was in the coma, some of the stuff got through to her. Conversely, if she suddenly woke up and asked "where's Claire?" I think someone might have told her that she was on O815 and pregnant. So I'm going in two different directions here, like I do with a lot of things.  |

So Christian we can asume was once on the island in some authority figure(i.e. Richard, Ben, Locke or JACOB)
Ben's mother was once on the island and had to leave so that she could give birth.
Was Jack's and Claire's mothers on the island or did Christian come to the mainland at one time and get them pregnent as similar to Locke's mother and Thomas.

Claire's Aunt never was much of a nice person. She may have told her that Claire was on the plane, said the plane crashed, and then decided that Claire's mom didn't need to now that Claire was pregnant. |
