How did Claire's mom get better? She was in a coma that the doctors expected she would never recover from. Christian tried to convince Claire to euthanize her mom.

She was in the coma for a long time. If I remember correctly, she wasn't pregnant, or was just barely pregnant, at the time of the accident. She was visiting her mother up until she left for LA.

Now we know that Jack knows. And from the ep tonight, we can guess that Jack learned that Claire wandered off into the jungle. So, despite whatever reason prompted them to agree to the cover story so quickly and without dissent, that is why Jack has to go baaaaaaack: to find & save his sister.

Like this idea. Claire has remorse for causing her mother's coma and chooses to give her own life on the Island (where dead doesn't actually mean dead) in order to save her mother's. |
