I'm hearing so many mixed reviews on "The Haps". One of my friends said she LOVED it and my other friend said she HATED it. Hmmmmm..... I generally like Night's stuff. My fave is still Sixth Sense cuz I was one of the lucky people who had NO idea what the ending was going to be and didn't try guessing it, so was pleasantly surprised. I also loved Signs and surprisingly The Village.
Not sure I want to see this new flick at the theater with prices being what they are. I think I'll wait for DVD.

Saw it last nite - here's my take: WTF - what your brain is repeating for the first ten minutes then it shifts to a more subduded "what the hell?" as you try to figure out what is going on and why - even after they tell you what happened you will mull it over and wonder if it's even plausible (which I think it is). You can really get sucked into it - if you can ignore some of the dialogue which is unfortunate. People in the theater were actually laughing at some parts (and you just couldn't help yourself) - the delivery was a little strange. But overall a good flick - not quite 6th Sense level but Shymalan pulls another one out of his hat - even the ending is good. I liked the twist in the Village and the 6th Sense - saw Signs and don't remember how it ended haven't seen Lady in the Water yet. From what I read and what the the original title was I will save my money and wait for DVD and then I will wait for another person to rent. 6th sense got you...the Village something was amuck there... Signs was good, but it wasn't about the aliens it was about a mans' loss of faith. the ending was good, nothing spectacular but good. Lady in the water was long and more fantasy in my book.

the only redeeming factor of this movie was the death scenes, which kinda makes me want to rent the blu ray extended edition and see if any of the deaths were even better before the cut

I liked the death scenes in the way that a I love a bad 80's horror movie, the story was crap and the acting was even worse, but there were some good deaths, like the guy in the lion cage, that was pretty awesome
