LOST: Survivor - Challenge 16 Posted (NEW!)

It is that time of year again: the horrific waiting period from which there is no escape. But we are not the only ones who disdain the hiatus. From all corners of the island, the Lostians unite in a great battle to find who is the swiftest, the most cunning, the bravest. And they need your help. That’s right, you will aid your favorite Lost character through a battle of wits and trickery, fighting for your own survival while aiding your teammates to survive and become the Last Lost Standing!

Here’s what will happen: throughout the next week, you will PM me (JBRam) with your favorite Lost character. If he/she/it has not yet been chosen, you will guide your character through the battle. Keep your identity secret! If word gets out who your character is, you may not make it past the next elimination!

Here are the rules: Every Tuesday and Friday night (subject to change), there will be a challenge. The winner or winning team will receive immunity or some other prize. There will then be a voting of who stays on the island and who will be sacrificed to Smokey. This vote will take place throughout the entire length of the Challenge which means you do not know who receives immunity until the voting is closed. Depending on how many people join, this game could last only until the hiatus, or it could be picked up again after the Lost season ends.

Participation Rules – In order to participate, all you need is an SWLS screenname and the ability to PM. This means you must be at least a Background Extra (50 posts). If you don’t have fifty posts, I suggest you go into the Community Lounge and play some of the games and comment on various things until you obtain 50 posts. It won’t take too long, and the game will be well worth it. After you have 50 posts, PM me with the character you wish to be. Please include a second and third choice in case your characters are already chosen. You may add any new character before the game begins, and you may continue to join the game until all characters are chosen. If your character loses, you may still jump back in the game as a new character. Just PM me with who you wish to be.

Voting Rules – Go to the Voting Thread to vote. I strongly discourage last-minute voting because I will not accept any votes that come in past the deadline. Each person is allowed two votes (for now) unless they win an extra vote during the game. Please attempt to be fair and DO NOT use more than one screen name to vote. With the voting poll, it is impossible to check this.

Challenge Rules – There will be a new challenge twice a week: one on Tuesday and one on Friday. This will give the people who are busy during the weekends a chance to come online and see the challenge. Therefore, the challenges will for the most part NOT be time dependant. However, if two people or teams have the same amount correct, I will have to take the one who got it in first. Please take your time! If you have to make a correction, I will take the correction time, not the first time. Mistakes don’t help you out any! Some of the rules in the Challenges may be a little ambiguous. If you are unsure what to do, last year’s Survivor Challenges may be a good place to look. I will not answer any PMs on clarifying what to do. Please have descriptive titles in your PMs, such as “Answers to Challenge 1.” 

Immunity Idol Rules – The immunity Idol hints will be given out to the winners of every Challenge following #4. The hints will be continued until someone guesses the word correctly. In guessing the word, you must type it EXACTLY as presented in the post, including possible misspellings and capitalization. If you win the first Immunity Challenge, you get one hint. The next winner will get the first hint PLUS a new hint. That means if you win the fifth Challenge, you would get the first 5 hints. You may only guess ONE TIME for each Challenge you win. Make it a good guess. You can save your guess for later, meaning that if you win another Challenge, you get two guesses. You can share any of this information with your alliances if you wish, but they must win a Challenge in order to be allowed to guess at the Immunity Idol.
