I am trying me best to piece everything together, but i feel as crazy as Des!

Can someone, anyone, put together a dated timeline, in order, of how everything has gone down so far?? I know it's a big task, but i'm sure there is someone totally motivated (read: obsessed) with this and is up for the challenge???

It would be cool to see a visual from the beginning and filled in with what we have so far!

Is there something like this and i just haven't stumbled avross it yet? If so, then i am sorry for the post! Just point me in the right direction!!!

Thanks!

Lostpedia has as complete a timeline as you're likely to find. I thought Astro said something about one on this site, but I don't know where it is.

I would be willing to help with an update to the timeline.

I am sure we could improve on the content of the lostpedia version.  We could also add images, references, and expand on the filtering.

Anyone interested?

I would love to keep the timeline up to speed and redesign it. What we need, though, is a team of members dedicated to the timeline maintenance and research. If we can get some volunteers for this, and work together, I think we can put together a nice timeline. It could either be database driven and interactive, like it is now, or we could design a graphical timeline that includes images and tangent lines connecting the time-travel episodes.

THIS is kind of what I have in mind. Notice, it can show single date entry events, but also INTERVAL events! Of course, for all the island stuff, the map part won't be as useful, but for the off-island stuff, it will combine the map and timeline into one system. Whaddya think? Keep in mind, I did this in about an hour, so it's not very user friendly or customized yet. Just a quick and dirty example.

If anyone has any xml, json, php, html, css skills they want to contribute, that would be good to know. Most the help needed will be in the form of data collection (collecting images, descriptions, etc. along with working on the timeline justification thread) and data entry.

Right now, I'm thinking it will be all mysql backended, and will use JSON to transmit data to the timeline script. I've never used JSON before though, so I'm reading up on it now. Doesn't seem too difficult.
