Michael's 4x08 Timeline details

I posted this in a thread but wanted it here for justification purposes for our timeline.

Thought I'd give some perspective on the timeline....
Michael left the island on Day 67, which was November 27, 2004 according to our timeline.
Naomi arrives on the island on Day 86, which was December 16, 2004

So the events of Michaels flashback seems to have taken place at some point between these two dates.  In addition, when Michael is in the hospital, a Christmas Tree can be seen in the background.
Tom is very prominent during season 3.  Here are the dates that I could lock down pretty solid.
3x01 takes place on day 68, 11/28/04.  Tom can be seen and/or heard from in episodes 3x01, 3x02, 3x04, 3x06, 3x07, 3x09, 3x12, 3x13, 3x19, 3x20, 3x22, and 3x23.  The dates of these episodes are:
11/28/04, 11/29/04, 11/30/04, 12/3/04, 12/10/04, 12/11/04 (from 3x19), 12/16/04 (from 3x19), 12/19/04, 12/20/04.

So when looking at these dates it seems fairly obvious that there is only one stretch of time when Tom could have gone to visit Michael, and that was between December 3 and December 10.  I think 7 days is reasonable enough for Tom to have made it off the island and back.  I'll also mention that December 10 is the day that Locke blew up the sub.

I'll also add that Tom appears to still be off island when he calls Michael at the freighter.  And he had previously told Michael that the freight was leaving Fuji in "a few days" so it stands to reason that Tom was on the "mainland" for at least 2 or 3 days.

So Tom did not travel by sub??

How do they get back and forth from the isalnd?

No Juggy, I think he did travel by sub.  The sub wasn't destroyed until Dec 10, and the 3rd through the 10 is when Tom was gone for the longest stretch of time.

But if he traveled by sub, that would take a long time, both ways. He was relaxing in new York with his buddy. THe phone call he made appeared to be from New York also. Traveling by sub, then flying would take days.
I got the impression it was a faster even more mystical way off the island.

Right before Locke blew up the sub, didn't people get off of it? Could it have been Tom coming back?

They did not show anyone coming off. Locke ran into Jack and company coming from the sub

Could take the sub to Fiji then catch a flight to Hawaii then to New York depending of course on the location of the island...he could be in New York in two-three days, find Michael, explain things, be back in Fiji when he calls Michael then on the island in time for Locke to destroy the sub

by the "some of us", he meant those not affected by the barrier around the island
