Before this we could maybe assume that Ben did all he did for some kind of normal rational reason. But the whole "Juliet is mine" thing.. I just think it shows us that he really does everything he does for himself, he is the ultimate manipulator. He was hurt by his father, led into the "natives" community by visions of his mother, and then by richard... and has messed with the losties enough to get jack to try and help him.
Does anyone else feel like we just saw a whole new level of crazy from Ben?

I dunno, doing something ugly out of jealousy is, sorry to say, pretty normal.

The fact that he'd do the ugly thing in a smart, manipulative, extreme way is typical Ben.

haha... yep. i just think it was a way for the producers to remind us that he's so creepy, and dangerous. He really almost had juliet convinced that she had to shoot farraday and charlotte.. when she didnt, she wouldve killed them all.

I still think this episode was important in showing... more like proving... that Juliet is Ben's weak point.
