Something interesting came to light when I was reviewing something from season 1 Exodus part one.
Danielle states 16 years ago that her boat ran aground, there were six on their boat.
We have the O6 - which are Jack, Kate, Hurley, Sayid, Sun and yes Jin
Seek and ye shall find answers.
So is this another number deal? Danielle asks them at the time how they were going to hide 40 people, at this point Boone is gone and so is Kate's bounty hunter/lack of better name.
Is this the connection ~ to why we have the O6

Total guess. We only have an O6 because the helicopter will only have reason for 5 people. Jack, Kate, Hurley, Sun and Aaron just happen to be the people to get on. And yes I said Aaron because Jin is NOT one of the O6.

How many scientists were on danellie's boat? Now how many are on the freighter boat?
Is this number the same and if it is will there be only one survivor on the freighter by the end?

If the helicopter is the only reason for brining six back then why are we watching this. Sorry but that is a lame reason.
Hugo had the numbers given to him by a person at his home away from home. There were 23 people on the porch when he got on and it collapsed.
Also Hugo's weight is more of two people than one.
Not really going anywhere with this other than coincidental....

How about they take six off The Island because it is easier to keep 6 mouths closed versus trying to keep 35 mouths shut. Who of "The 6" is credible? Just a thought. And thinking that Locke will rule The Island still makes me laugh. I care about Heroes. |

Somebody long ago (well, maybe a month) suggested that the O6 are the people that have communicated to the outside world.
Kate, Jack, and Hurley all talked on the SAT phone. Sayid has been sighted by just about all the Boaties.
So, maybe the idea is that Widmore (or whoever is behind the boat) cuts a deal. I'd really prefer to kill all of you, but given that the outside world knows about a few of you, here's my offer: I'll take just those few off, but leave the others alive over at the Temple (or somewhere), if the few agree to the following cover story (insert cover story here).
I could see those four not agreeing unless Sun, who'll die if left behind, is included as well.
Assuming this is remotely true, I'm not sure how Aaron gets included.
