Right before Juliet runs into Harper in the jungle:

"Sarah is having another..."
"Is that the other woman?"


Right when Juliet runs into Harper in the jungle:

"Look out"
"Sarah is having another..."
"Did you hear that?
"If she won't save us then who is?"
"Sarah, somebody's coming."
Male: There is somebody coming
Female: Hold on one second
Male: There is somebody coming

---Juliet sees Jack---

After Jack runs into Juliet and Harper:

Male "Sarah it's someone we know, Sarah it's someone we know"
Female "I'm not answering"
Male- answer them
"We have our answer"
"Can we trust her"

Finally, a very faint whisper can be heard right before Juliet uses the pulley door contraption at the Tempest Station.

Not sure if this qualifies as spoilers, but WOW!
That raises a lot of questions:

1. Who is Sarah? Sarah is having another what? Baby, vision, seisure, what?

2. Is the thing shapeshifting as Harper a conglomerate of people (WE, save US) ? Is Jacob a collective ghost? The ghost of the pirates or an earlier one?

3. Why do they call Juliet "The other woman"? If she is the other woman, who is the first one? If she isn't, who are the women reffered to?

I always thought the whispers came from some sort of monitoring station. But all the hatches are being eliminated. The flame blew up, the swan imploded, the looking glass flooded, the hydra was exposed, the tempest is a "power plant," the pearl and the arrow were abandoned. We pretty much know what the orchid does and it doesn't seem to imply parapsychology or telepathy of any kind. What station is left?!

Yeah, very nice. Many of the whispers sound like they're regurgitations of captured memories, maybe even consciousnesses. In addition, sometimes the animals seem to speak (Hurley bird, Sawyer's boar) or weakened people seem to speak in similar voices (Sawyer channeling Kate's dad). Perhaps brief possession of a sort?

We know from Des's time travel that a consciousness is somewhat independent of a body. If Miles really can communicate with ghosts, well, what's a ghost but a consciousness bereft of a body. Perhaps the special electromagnetic properties of the Island make it easier for disembodied consciousnesses to hang around longer than usual.

Forget Miles meeting Jacob, I wanna see him run into the Whispers.

That'd be cool!  You're right though, I always thought of them as dead spirits.
