Don't know if anyone caught this or not, but over on docartz page there's a screen cap and script for a scene with Kate, Jack and Miles at the sonic gate. It was cut from The Economist. I was going to use that picture in Come Again, but I was afraid it might be spoilerish.
I am not sold on Miles being able to talk with the dead.

Very cool! I would have never found this out if not for this thread! I liked that scene a lot, and yes, it does seem like Miles heard the whispers..but wait...sayid can hear them too...so maybe it WAS ghosts...like of the dharma people...wanting to help them get ben or something.

or maybe he just has VERY VERY accute hearing and was listening for the high pitched frequency. get this: my stepbrother's aunt lives in a haunted house. so they used to leave tape recorders going in empty rooms with nothing going on. then they played back the tapes at high volume and HEARD ghosts speaking. "Take me now Lord" was said, and on one, his aunt was speaking, talking about what she was doing as she was making breakfast. Stuff like "now i'm opening the fridge, cracking the eggs, beating them..." and when she played it back, it sounded as if every pot and pan in the house was being banged! So if these sounds are really all around us, maybe Miles can just tune in on them...sort of like that one lady on heroes who had that super hearing...anyhow. A thought.
