Michael and Walt

A little food for thought. How can the outside world still think everyone on 815 is dead if Michael and Walt escaped? They must not have ever made it back to the mainland.

Another reason to believe that one or both are on the boat.

Very possible.  In the timeline, right about the time micheal and walt left was probably about the time the ship set sail.  and if ben had a man on the boat he may have given michal a heading to run right into it.  but then the people on the boat would know there were survivors from 815, wonder where he got the boat, come to the conclusion that he got it on the island...and yet naomi still said that everyone from 815 was dead.  what the deal with that.

Playing with their heads? We know she suspected their were survivors on the Island back when the dream team was being formed.

right.  but still...thats not a very good head game.  i mean, for the viewers, yes, but for the losties to ponder?  did they really need to know that?  from the sound of abbadon there were going to be no survivors, whether there were or not, the public wasn't supposed to find out about it.  unless she didn't believe micheal, or never met him at all.  so saying what she thought was a truth came natually.

I hear you Maggie.

I can't decide whether Abaddan's comments were just affirming the party line - I've worked in places where a new decision comes down and we're all supposed to repeat it until we believe it - or whether it's a not so veiled threat. There won't be any survivors. Every living thing on the island, but most especially the 815'ers will die.

Do you know the lit term "eucatastrophe"?

It means the ultimate catastrophe bearing out an unseen positive ending.  In other words, Locke better duck!!!  :D
