The pilot and the ring
« on: February 13, 2008, 02:39:35 PM »
Am I completely wrong in remembering the Pilot, before boarding the plane to take off, was trying to hit on someone at the bar, or within the airport?
I can not remember the episode, but it was last season.
Or am I totally off base here and my memory sucks?? I remember Jack speaking with Ana Lucia, but I, also, thought there was a FB with the pilot speaking to a woman as well...and maybe this is why he had no ring on??

Sorry if this seems completely far fetched....figured I would bounce it off of you all :)

I don't know if i remember that....the only pilot i remember speaking with ladies was in Locke's vision where Des was chatting it up with the triplets.

According to Lostpedia, in the episode The Pilot, Part 1, the pilot is actually shown wearing his ring.  There is a screen cap there of it from the cockpit before he became Smokie Kibble.

Disregard...
I bought the first season and watched all of the deleted scenes...which is why I remember him talking to a woman...

From Lostpedia:
In a deleted flashback scene (depicted in extras on Disc 7 of Season 1 DVD collection), Seth had a conversation with Claire at the airport restaurant before the flight. He promised her a "smooth ride". During the same extra scene, he stated that his mother's boyfriend was named Bernard. This being a deleted scene, it may not necessarily be canon

Carry on!! Sorry for the waste of bandwidth!! :-\

Very good catch, though and not a waste of bandwidth at all.
I find it funny that we only got to see a picture of Greg Grunberg in the flashbacks.
I was laughing really hard.

I hope he shows up in another flashback. It would be interesting to see what really caused them to be so far off course before they crashed due to Desmond not pushing the button. I was hoping Cindy would get a flashback one day.

Oooh, a Cindy flashback - that sounds good.

Not sure she has much to tell us about off island stuff, but it'd be good to know what her first few days with the Others were like.

And why she was so pleased to be with the Others.  Hmmm...maybe she worked for/with Abbadon?

Here's Seth's ring...

Possible, but I reckon she was introduced to Room 23.

Or was hoping to be abducted.  You know.  Like she knew about the others.  EH?

Well, it's an interesting idea, but we have absolutely no evidence of this. She seemed awfully keen on staying with the Tailies to me.

Cindy?!  She was OUTTA THERE!  And when she saw Jack in the cage, she was obviously well integrated into Other-land.

Lakkie, she saw Jack a month after she disappeared. After, I submit, a number of trips to Room 23.

Show me some evidence that she wanted to join the others before she disappeared.
