a cow is sacred in Hinduism.  the basis of lost is redemption and, could it be, reincarnation.  these characters cycle back to realities each time being tested.  echo in this episode obviously failed again and remains lost.  he almost made it in his previous cycle.  in reincarnation, there is an implied timeline.  but what if God is pulling a des carte's and has the brain in the bubble thing going (basically the matrix setup).  fail one reality simulator and He puts you back into another.  poor Echo.  gotta stay away from de smack.

I was offended.  No Bull

For some reason I have Sam The Sham stuck in my head.  That would have been great if they played this after or during the scene.

Matty told Hatty about a thing she saw.
Had two big horns Balls and a wooly jaw.
Wooly bully, wooly bully.

more cowbell!!!

...maybe the lost writer's had a fever...and the only prescription was more cowbell. ;D

Stop it!  I can't breathe, you're killin' me! :D

True story:  Law enforcement seminar; terrorist awareness; bomb evac training; serious stuff!  Written exam at the end, extra credit question:  You have a fever, what's the only prescription?  One guy got it right!

The purpose of the cow was to show that they landed near the FLAME station and infact my theory is that there is another hatch on the island not found yet. This hatch would be for metorligical tests. This is a station where they can comtrol weather and such as lighting. Hence why two helicopeters have gone down.

Does Locke already know about this station somehow?  He seems to know exactly when the weather will change abruptly.

Especially showing it's balls.

I'd like to official request a HD screen cap of that - my crappy tv didn't pick that up.

This is my new favorite tread. ;D

Which is particularly interresting considering the cows are eaten on the Island.
