trading ship

At the beginning, when they find the boat and have news reporters, a reporter says something about how they were looking for the remains of a trading ship.  Black Rock maybe?

they mentioned it was the christiane I searching the sundra trench, and found the plane, so I assumed :) that this tied in with the find815.com game.

In the find815 game the Christiane 1 is looking for the black rock and find 815 instead. They never really explained why they were looking for the black rock.

Think there was treasure on board? The Others have some resources as we've seen in their off-island jaunts....

All pirate ships have treasure on board... Not.
I didn't think the Black Rock was a pirate ship. Wasn't it a slave ship?

It was a slave ship. I'm just throwing the treasure possibility out there. I'm thinkin' the Others' money had to come from someplace.
