So, everyone is assuming that the Bunny #15 in Orchid video is 'teleported' from the future into the video? Why not 'duplicated' to make 2 bunny 15's and the duplication process wrinkles time and space and dupolar bear in tunisia is an exact copy of polar bear from island experiments. . . what was I talking about?

#4999 Uh....teleportation, orchids, bunnies with numbers, duplication, time wrinkles, dupolar bears... What am I talking about? I do think that there is a duplication process - and the subjects must be kept apart or disaster. I know everytime I run into my time wrinkly duplicate, I get a headache. (May I just say that I am very proud that this is my last post as a Workman!!!) |

Yeah, I think there is a thread on it somewhere in the spoiler theories section....not that it is much of a spoiler. But the thread has some good info on the casimir effect also (which is mentioned in the video).

Wow, that's some crazy stuff... Everything on this board makes so much more sense. I agree with you all about Charlotte being sent to Tunisia about the polar bear - it does seem like an "oh my god they did it" kind of expression to me! All I've got to add are questions though - what was is that fell from the 'sky' on Marvin's right? And how did this accidental teleportation happen, especially during an orientation video? What purpose does that bunny serve in the video I wonder? Do they actually show how to do this? Because he certainly didn't seem to want it filmed... And who was it that did it? Marvin asks 'how long' and the woman who rushes over to bunny B says, "9 minutes but we're still learning to..." and then she gets cut off. What is the countdown in the background for? A countdown from 10... what happens at 0? Why "DON'T LET THEM NEAR EACH OTHER?" I wonder what would happen?!?! AHHH!! WHY DID YOU MAKE ME WATCH THAT VIDEO?? You weren't kidding when you said it would blow my sox off! lol  |

all this teleportation/orchid video talk makes me think
that....
#1 - desmond was teleporting (not skipping dimensions or whatever puffer says)
#2 - the polar bear was teleported
#3 - MPU's/alternate realities, and anything related can be thrown out the door due to #1 & #2

My thoughts:
I have no idea what that thing falling from the sky was. At first I thought it was the bunny but then the bunny ended up on the shelf to the other side of him....but if you pause it just right it looks like a....circular bunny? I don't know!
I think that Halowax was filming while some tests were going on, I'm sure they don't stop everything just because the film crew is there. The video said that over the next few minutes they would be explaining the elaborate safety measures set in place to ensure...WHITE THING FROM THE SKY CUTS HIM OFF. So I don't think it was a demonstration video so much as a safety one. The shift being set to -20 hmm? And what IS that countdown for? Is it only a temporary portation, and when the countdown is done duplicate bunny dissapears? Eh!
Polar bears, right. Ok. It would be logical that after they perfected bunny teleportation they moved on to bigger animals, and since they had a nice stock of bears why not use one of them. I just don't get why if it was so secretive they would put a dharma collar on the bear...? Couldn't they have identified it another way, like a number that the bunnies had? The collar seems to represent domestication.... so I would want to say that the bear came from another station. But. Maybe I'm just thinking too much.
And to add to cbw420...
so des was teleporting, not just flashing? I could see that, since he was pretty much missing...? But why was he naked? Is there a thread on that?

Say they were supposed to be teleporting it to the Arctic where other Dharma members could see if it worked (hence the collar - to tell your bear from the native bears) and something went wrong - Frosty the snowbear ended up in Tunisa perhaps expired from the trauma of teleportation or what ever method of travel was used. That at least offers an explanation of the bears location and collar.

CORRECT!! no flashing, just teleporting, please clarify your clothing question though......naked when?? after the blast? yes. why was he naked after the blast. he had clothing when he turned the key. and the polar bear was able to maintain it's collar. if the ability to teleport comes from say...a huge amount of electromagnetic energy, that could very well explain how he ended up back at his flat. And the only way i can think of for him to come back to the island was because the teleporting effect only lasts for a finite amount of time. but if he teleported... where was the des that was halfway through painting the walls red? |

Maybe the collar is used as a marker?? Maybe that way they can pinpoint where the device sets it's target for teleporting??
I kind of got the idea that it was also something used to track where the polar bear landed. How it stayed on is beyond me.
