Sun and Jin do not need to make it off the island for her to have the kid. Jin may die, but Sun makes it off and has the child.
The episode did not show the helicopter crashing. Only the first one did at this point.

There is absolutely NO evidence that Claire and Aaron get on either helicopter we've seen crash, or deliver someone other than our Losties to the Island. In fact, I don't believe that they will. If they do, it won't be good. Desmond would not have put Claire and Aaron in danger if he'd have seen the ENTIRE "flash before his eyes" sequence of events. We were shown in "Flashes Before Your Eyes" how trying to pinpoint an exact date for his precog viewing is fruitless a la Futbol match on tv in the pub.
it is possible Claire and Aaron may get on the latest helicopter, but is it really a rescue attempt, and if not, where will they be taken? Charlie sacrificed his life thinking that Claire and Aaron would be SAVED by the helicopter, but I think it will only lead to further danger.
Remember, the Producers and Writers told us initially that Aaron was a very integral part of the story--flying away on the first helicopter they see somehow doesn't seem too great, particularly since we figure these aren't "good people" coming to the island.

Yes, I think Claire will be one of the six. And I don't think that Aaron will count as one of them. He wasn't born when the plane crashed. It's just a theory...
I agree, it's the OCEANIC six, survivors of the crash, not just who was rescued. Others may have come home also. They wouldn't include Juliet, Des, Ben.......or Aaron. Desmond was clear that Claire and Aaron got on the helicopter. I was surprised to see them separate Claire Aaron and des. Thought they had a connection. Hope Charlie's poignant death wasn't for nothing.
Not only was Des clear, we SAW his flash of Claire and Aaron getting on the chopper. Of course, this doesn't tell us that they were rescued. |

I think Des only told Charlie about it....we never saw it played out in a scene. I do agree that we can't be sure that it is a rescue heli though. |

I think Des only told Charlie about it....we never saw it played out in a scene. I do agree that we can't be sure that it is a rescue heli though. I remember clearly SEEING Claire and Aaron boarding a chopper during one of the scenes where Desmond's flashes are shown for a split second each. Sorry but I can't remember exactly what episode that was..... |

Has there been a thread that argues that Kate is not one of the Oceanic 6 and that her survival has been kept a secret because she is a fugitive? Could explain why she doesn't answer her phone in the future and why they had to have a secret meeting at the airport and why she "had to get back to him".
