Ok.  Hurley had some visions in this episode...or did he?
First, he saw Charlie by the ho-hos, which made him run in the first place.  Then there was that whole underwater thing in the police station, followed by the actual meeting of Charlie.  And Charlie says, "I am dead.  But I'm also here."  What up with that?  Is this another vision produced by Hurley similar to Dave?  Dave occured as a result of the deck crash, maybe Charlie is here because Hurley feels guilty about leaving the island?

Could be.. Maggie.  Or it could be that he is has an ability that we didn't know about - IF he really did see Jacob in that shack.

That is a good point.  This could be Hurley's special ability.  Walt can teleport or something, Ben sees his dead mom, and Hurley has his visions.

I think the Island changed people.
Charlie said he was dead, but there. So dead isn't dead dead. But Charlie is dead and wasn't really there.
Kind of confusing. Huh

I think the Island is making him see Charlie.  Hurley said ".....it [meaning the island] will do whatever it needs to get us back...."

He will keep seeing Charlie until they go back....

what?Huh??

charlie came to him as a spirit... hurley probably saw charlie standing there and instead of acknowledging it, he had his created dude tell him, as if his conscious was tellin him that charlie is still standing there even though he was trying to repress it

wow..

because he DOESN'T WANT TO SEE CHARLIEEE, and the fact that the other person told him he was there, means that he couldn't escape not seeing him. open your mind a little and think.

Charlie was not a spirit. That is why he slapped Hurley - to show that his body was solid and real.

makes sense.. guess he didn't drown after all :]

as if dave never touched hurley... as if hurley didn't physically have his arm around dave, even though the photo revealed nothing.

I had to pause the tivo and argue this one out with Mr Waves as well, I want to believe that Charlie is alive. but I'm sticking with the whole "my spirit is with you" motif. the island(/Jacob) needs them for something. I just didn't realize how far His "Crazy dead people vision" range spread
