Great site for activities for kids
« on: June 01, 2007, 09:09:04 PM »
I use a site called DLTK for a lot of things for the kids.  www.dltk-kids.com

You can go there for free printable coloring pages, crafts, party ideas, etc.  They have famous characters, make-your-own treat bags, easy pre-K stuff, religious, ......

I strongly suggest that anyone with a family gathering coming up where there are kids to entertain to go there.  They even do stuff for all the holidays.

Of Course!!  I'm sorry, I forgot to put that in there too.  I noticed that we didn't have a thread on Kid's activity sites and so I figured I would make one.  There are a lot of us who have kids that could benefit from knowing about sites we each use.

I also use that DLTK site when I do child care for the church dinners.  I can usually match coloring pages with whatever movie I pick out.

Another good one is www.highlightskids.com

You can print off hidden picture activities for every occassion!!

My kids' current favorites...

http://pbskids.org/  For all kinds of activities & printables from your kids favorite PBS shows. (Curious George, Sesame Street, Clifford, etc.)

http://www.dangerrangers.com/KidsClub/index.cfm Games & activities themed around a show that teaches kids about safety.

http://www.starfall.com/  The best site I've found for teaching reading.  (Toddlers- early independent readers)  Also has holiday activities & great educational printables.

www.destinationimagination.org

This site is wonderful for rainy-day activities.  It's filled with "instant challenges" that get the kids to work together on brain-teasing activities.
