Two timelines are not alternate realities but two "what if's" they will tie into each other somehow.
Jacob = Bad
MIB = Good/Not as Bad.

I wonder if the rocks that Sawyer and Kate were loading was for the rebuilt temple....nah.
I'm sticking to Juliet's explanation: "We're building a runway for the aliens."

the temple is probably the "main set" of next season. season 1: the beach, season 2: the hatch, season 3: otherville, now we have season 4: the temple?

Where are Richard and his peeps headed? Who/what are they worshipping? How? Can anyone come? What's in the temple? Anyone? Anyone? Anyone? (Yes, I once had Mr. Bueller as a student .) Think there might be a bunch of 4 toed statues for sale in the bookstore? Hmmm?? Do ya? Do ya? Would love to know what you all think. I think it has something to do with the beauty/power/worth/value of the island. (I LOVE the fact the island has gone from a place that people want to get off -- a la Gilligan -- to a place people want to get back to or never leave. Dorothy, we ain't in Kansas anymore.)

When Ben mentioned the temple, it definitely caught my ear right away. I'd be willing to bet that it does have to do with "Pinky", the four toed statue!

I think the statue is a little too exposed to be the temple, especially with Naomi's group on the way. The temple may shed more light on the statue, but I don't believe it is the statue itself. Anyhow, I think the temple will be a well sheltered spot with lots to tell us about Old Island History. Maybe the temple is the name of another hatch? It would make sense that they need a place to regroup, resupply, and all that jazz.

Something I can't get out of my head is the fact that Olivia was teaching Ben's class about Volcanoes and we learned that one erupted a long time ago on the island. I wonder if the volcano and the temple have anything to do with each other.

The temple is where they take Christians body to regenerate back to life, This way everyone wins.
Those who think hes dead are right.
Those who think he is alive will be right.

I don't think that the statue is the temple either, but I bet they are related.
