If he had, and they didn't flash any lights, the whole thing would be unconvincing.  So, if nobody else has spoken to Jacob, then how was Ben able to convince someone as smart as Richard or Mikail that HE had?

doesn't matter.  richard and patchy believe in jacob because jacob was there before they were.  they are natives, they have grown up holding jacob to the same level as God.  I don't see God, but i still believe in Him and know he exists.  Same thing with their "faith" in jacob.  they dont' have to see him to know he exists.

Since when has Mikail been named a "native".  When did I miss that?

I think Ben has taken others there before and they didnt come back.  As to why Alex gives Locke a gun before he leaves.
