"Greatest Hits ?"
« on: May 17, 2007, 12:57:15 AM »
Someone here wrote that the people on the island are experiencing time differently that in the real world.   Charlies gets told that people really mourned his death etc.  and that they put out a greatest hits album.  How is that possible since they have only been on the island for, what, about 80 days !?  Don't you think that more time has passed in the real world than the losties have experienced ?

Possible. But watch the money maker items...when a big star dies...they are quick to start new things to make more money. So it's possible either your theory is correct or the reality theory is correct...which sucks.

Putting out a greatest hits CD takes no time. Package it and go.

Charlie makes reference to a "moment in the sun."  Many of you might remember the song with such a title by Clem Snide.  The lyrics are as follows.

When itís my moment in the sun
Oh, how beautiful Iíll be
But in a normal sort of way
Like I am you and you are me

Cause I have a lot of things to say
And youíd be wise to listen good
I think that hunger, war and death
Are bringing everybody down

When itís my moment in the sun
Iíll share my problems with the world
And psychosomatically Iíll sing
To God and all his pretty girls

When itís my moment in the sun
I wonít forget that I am blessed
But every hero walks alone
Thinking of more things to confess

Putting out a greatest hits CD takes no time. Package it and go.

Especially when you only have two albums out.

I'll bet most of us have seen and heard more about Anna Nicole Smith in the weeks since her death than anyone cares for.  With all the attention given to that  - I can see how easy it would be to compile a greatest hits album.  At least Charlie and Drive Shaft had some inkling of talent. :D

Offline this is some crazy stuff

All you have to do is sit down and figure out wich songs you want on it.  then you make copies and sell it.

would take around a month i would say.

A greatest hits CD does not consist of any new songs, it is just a bunch of your Greatest Hits put onto one cd
