Hawaii particularly has very clear water.  I went to the USS Arizona memorial & could look down in the water & see the ship.  Pretty amazing.

No, it can't be..physically speaking. How in the heck did AquaCharlie do it??

I already had a post about world record for a free dive somewhere here.  It is highly unlikely that Charlie could do it.  Not impossible but highly unlikely.  I just chalked it up to a production misque - maybe thought we'd confuse meters with feet.  I don't know - that's when I went into it's just a show mode.

Didnt the blueprints say something like hatch located at 70 meteres down?

70 m x 3 ft per meter = 210 ft?

Some deep dive isnt it?

70 meters = 229 feet - 8"
The world record for free dving (no gear except fins) is 122 meters  held by a professional

The world record for the type of dive closest to what we saw Charlie do (no gear, no fins, only ballast) is 87 meters.

Once again, unless Charlie is secretly Auqaman, he has escaped what would seem to be a deadly undertaking by what - shear dumb luck, magic box lungs, ?

Ummm, u r gettin old cuz THIS is the post you were referring to! lol

I'm pretty sure the plans say 70 but I'll double check right quick.

If it's 70...then it's Gordy's idea that it says 17 lol

Sure, blame Gordy.
Perhaps all the heroin use has slowed Charlie's metabolism so he requires less oxygen and is able to dive more deeply.

I probably should have used 'just kidding' tags there

Fanx for the pic TX.
Funny how they have this official blueprint with the graphs and all the math, yet the drawing looks like it was done on the trunk of a car with a crayon.

I thought GJ did a pretty good job drawing it.  I just don't know how she got the producers to buy it. ;D
