He better not die.  I'll be pissed.  Sayid and Sawyer are the only ones I want to see around until the end of the series.

Um, I'm gonna assume that this was part of the "Spoiler" info? If so, might not want to talk about it so openly lol...

No we alll talk toward the end of each season who could die who and could live since that is the pattern established by the show.

I'm with Casino... Naomi really is working with Penny.  Anything else just wouldn't make sense and would be pointless.  The Others don't need anymore spies.

I agree, too...Sayid being suspicious shows he's smart, not that his suspicions are correct. And someone would need to explain why the Others would want the Losties to start thinking they're really all dead...do they want the survivors to believe both that they may be rescued as well as believe they are already dead?

As well as why they would injure her so badly to the point that she needed a needle to the lung to suck out the blood draining into it? We can assume that IF she were a plant they wouldn't need her to actually parachute onto the island to pretend to be a rescuer, just like they didn't need Ben to actually crash in a balloon in order to pretend to be Henry Gale. So where did the injury come from?

Ah, ok lol...it's just that it came out of nowhere. We weren't talking about Sayid and him possibly dying, so I assumed it was part of the Spoiler section of the initial post that I didn't read.

We are  just hoping he doesn't.

I don't think the others want the losties to think they can be rescued, if they think they are dead they might be more inclined to "go with the flow" and not fight the others anymore. Maybe it another way for Ben "to do what he does best" manipulate people.

Jack didn't think she was an Other right off the bat.  Jack could have been worked up because they don't want someone else getting in to get information, or that they don't want her giving her position to the outside.
I don't think Naomi is an Other, I think she is genuinely working for Penny.

I would imagine that getting people to believe they're actually already dead would lead to some serious chaos, confusion and fear...

Maybe the others want them to realize no one is looking for them, this is the manipulation. Plus from the looks of next week I would say that the chaos and confusion thing is going to play out. What better way to distract them then to start a fight among them, better keep the women ( Sun and those possible prego )close!

So they plant a fake rescuer...to get people to believe nobody is trying to rescue them? lol... :) Granted, she was supposed to be rescuing Desmond only...but I think if they were wanting the Losties to give up hope on ever being rescued, they wouldn't use a fake rescuer to do so.

I'm not buying it just yet. I think it more plausible that she had a connection with Dharma as Mikhail was wearing a Dharma jumpsuit when she saw him. Des is quite possibly the one person on the island the 'others' were unaware of until recently.

I don't even think her eyes were open when Mikhail showed up...lol

After Huge-o slipped up and accidently fired the flare gun shooting the flare inhto the sky .....  Patchy shows up, as if he was looking for this signal (and expecting it). He is then none suprised to see "Naomi" (acronym?) lying there in pilot garb. She speaks to hem in Italian ( so says patchy),and say's "thank you". Then Patchy steals the phone, or did he simply take the phone because Naomi could not continue with him as planned.
Now if she was supposed to rendevous with Patch, I am interested to see how Des ties into whoever is quarterbacking this Island. I do think he does not know or have any idea what his true purpose is. or what "team" he is truly on. Seems odd with all that is happening he is still centered on his love of Penny. Just not very realistic, unboundless love, in this day and age. What about evetryone else who has people "back home" .
WAIT A SECOND!  What if Des is the ONLY one who is missed by someone back home. that would be odd.
uh'oh I have gone and knotted my brain again. :-\

I just rewatched this episode and i noticed that when Sayid turned it on and was looking for a channel, there was something like radar circles emitting from the west coast of north america right around where los angeles is. Is that where they are?????? it cant be, there has to be some reason for it. I'm not good with electronics and that kind of thing so if anyone has any thoghts or feedback... post away
